Road Trip: Harley's Passport to Ride Contest

As part of our ticket package for Harley's 100th Anniversary, we got an entry to Harley's "Passport to Ride" contest. You needed to get a minimum of 12 points by visiting Wisconsin Harley dealerships and getting your "passport" stamped. The further from Milwaukee a dealership was, the more points it was worth, for a maximum of four. We visited Capital City HD in Madison for 3 points, Sauk Prairie HD for 3 points, Bala's HD in Wisconsin Dells for 3 points, then ended up at Bala's HD in Mauston for 4 points where they were having a grand opening of their new shop with a bike show and food. Here are a couple pictures I took of the dealership and the bikes in the show. Of course we would pick the hottest day we'd had yet here in Wisconsin this summer to do this--it was 98 degrees along with our typical high humidity! We stopped at a restaurant on the way home and I drank a PITCHER of water! But it was a great ride anyway. A very enjoyable way to put on 175 miles.

One of a million 100th Anniversary Ultras, but with this lovely added touch. I really liked how it paid homage to the beginning. Excellent.
