ABATE Swap Meet, Tomah, Wisconsin

April 29 , 2006

Every year the ABATE chapter in Tomah holds a swap meet. The weather is always iffy because it's so early in the year, but it has become a not-to-be-missed event for us. Mainly for the great bikes that always seem to show up! It's a bit off the beaten path, so it's relatively yuppie free and there usually aren't any cookie-cutter choppers there. Well, they had one there this year that was for sale or to be won or whatever, but I had much more interest in the bikes in the lot and in the show.

This swap meet always has great bikes parked in the lot. I liked this little chopper.

This bike had quite the paint job. He was advertising his work. A close up of the rear fender of the previous bike.

Nice! Home made and one of a kind. Good stuff.

This is like the bikes I remember from when I was a kid. A pair of old Indians--one from Massachusetts, one from South Dakota!
