Tomahawk, WI Fall Color Rally
Saturday, September 15, 2007

We usually ride to the Tomahawk Rally (through rain and cold) but this year since I'd been fighting a near-migraine for three days, we elected to go on four wheels. I'm glad we did because it was 31F! Usually we see tons of bikes by the time we reach Wausau but this year we saw less than a dozen. It was just too cold to ride up north and enjoy it.

We arrived in Tomahawk about 10:00 AM and the temps had risen to about 43F and the high that day was 53F. With the sun it seemed much warmer. When it did warm up some, there was heavy bike traffic. It seems most people must have trailered their bikes there and were now getting on the road.

This year we headed up to Bubba's Big Party north of Tomahawk. We'd wanted to go last year but it was cold and rainy and we just didn't feel like fighting the traffic. Going there this year was worth it, tho. The venders were good and I bought a sweatshirt for $25 versus $45 at SARA Park.

I liked the flame job on this bike. This was the normal look with everyone bundling up.

Cruising through the venders at SARA Park in Tomahawk. CrowDog's front & center. This guy kept waving as I shot pics.

The bikes just streamed into Bubba's. This is an enlargement of the previous pic. Note the UGLY BIKE in the center. Eeewww!

I convinced this guy to do this. THEN I told him I'd put his pic on the internet. A lovely Panhead in Bubba's Bike Show
