"There's no place like home..."

We were up early again, 6:30 AM. I guess we were anxious to get home! We packed up, checked out of the motel, loaded the bikes to the sound of thunder, and then it started raining. So we had breakfast at Denny's and waited it out. By the time we were done, it had stopped.

After a bit of searching for a gas station, we were back on the road. The weather channel had shown rain all over Illinois but all we saw were heavy skies and haze. This made for cooler riding and we did an easy 125 miles to Mendota where we gassed up and had a snack. All we had encountered, fortunately, was sprinkles. We arrived home at 2:00 PM, tired but happy. CrowDog mowed, I did laundry and cleaned...then we crashed.

Hey, I'm ready to go again, are you?
