For my birthday in January, 1998, CrowDog asked me what I wanted. I said I wanted to go to Chicago to a museum. I couldn't decide--Science & Industry? Natural History? Aquarium? Well, after pondering a while (and changing my mind a few times!), I finally chose the Shedd Aquarium and Museum of Natural History, after all, they're only about a block from each other. I'd been to the Museum of Natural History before, but not the aquarium. What a great place! I heartily recommend that anyone who has any interest in aquatic life in general visit. This area where CrowDog is standing is where I got to see a dolphin show! They also had Beluga Whales on display. It was a wonderful birthday present.

A couple winters ago we put up a bird feeder and enjoyed watching the Black Capped Chickadees feed. I took this picture out my kitchen window using a 400mm lens on my Canon SLR. |
